Overview
Quy Nhon is the capital city of Binh Dinh province in the south central coast of Vietnam. Before being as a part of Vietnam's territory, Quy Nhon was the land of the Champa kingdom- an ancient kingdom existed in the south-central coast of Vietnam, so nowadays there are still many Cham ruins around the city. After the union of Vietnam in 1975, Quy Nhon was chosen as a provincial town of the big province of Nghia Binh. Then, this province was separated into Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh province in 1989, it became the provincial capital of Binh Dinh province.

Quy Nhon is located in the southeastern part of Binh Dinh province facing to the East sea in the east, and lean back on Tuy Phuoc district in the west. It is 1,065 kilometers in the north from Hanoi, 650 kilometers in the south from Ho Chi Minh City and 322 kilometers in the north from Danang.
