Overview
Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountains) is located about 8 km southeast of central Da Nang, on a vast sandy beach near the coast in Hoa Khue village, Son Thuy hamlet, Hoa Vang, Ngu Hanh Son district.
The mountain system is a masterpiece of nature bestowed on Da Nang city. The view from the Marble Mountains is like a hand of Heaven assigning this place to be sacred land.
The mountains formed Ngu Hanh Son named respectively: Kim Son, Moc Son, Thuy Son (the most beautiful and tallest one), Hoa Son (with two peaks) and Tho Son.
In this destination, historical and cultural imprints are also imprinted on every pagoda and tower in the early nineteenth century with Cham sculpture of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.
The writings of the poem during the Le and Tran periods also imprinted on the moss cliffs in the caves.
There are relics such as the grave of the mother of General Tran Quang Dieu, the temple of Princess Ngoc Lan (King Minh Mang's younger sister), and the vestiges of the national style kept at Tam Thai Pagoda of the Nguyen Dynasty, and the dioceses history of revolutionary struggles such as the Chong Rocky Tunnels, Ba Tho cave, Kim Son mountain, or Am Phu cave, etc. All proved eloquently about a legendary Marble Mountain and a land of great and epic spirituality.

Kim Son (Metal Mountain)
Kim Son is located in the southeast, on the banks of Co Co River.
Right at the foot of Kim Son, there is a cave with more than 50m long, nearly 10m wide, and 10-15m high. The entrance is the natural stone steps. Inside the cave, there are stalactites clinging to the cliffs to form the image of the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.
Moc Son (Wood Mountain)
Moc Son is located to the east, close to the sea, near Thuy Son. The east and the south direction are sandy cave while the north is fields and the west is villages.
Although it belongs to the wood element, there are very few trees here. The top of the rocky mountain was cut into saw teeth like the chicken crest, so it is also called the Mong Ga mountain.
Thuy Son (Water Mountain)
Thuy Son is located in the northeast and is the most beautiful mountain. Non Nuoc Pagoda with the charming landscape is a favorite choice of visitors which stretches from east to west with 15 hectares wide. Other famous destinations are Tam Thai Pagoda and Linh Ung Pagoda. Today most tourists come to Thuy Son by car from Huyen Tran Street, both sides of the road are villages specializing in marble sculptures.

Hoa Son (Fire Mountain)
Hoa Son consists of 2 tops and a rising rock line connecting them together. The western mountain near Kim Son is Duong Hoa Son, located on the Co Co river bank.
In the past, when Da Nang and Hoi An communicated by waterway, there was a river junction with busy boats.
In Duong Hoa Son mountain, there are caves and Pho Son Da pagoda. In the east, near the road to Hoi An is the Hoa Son Am.
Tho Son (Earth Mountain)
Tho Son is a mountain located in the north of Kim Son island and west of Thuy Son island. It is the lowest but the longest mountain, looking like a dragon lying on the sand. The west of Tho Son is the part of Ba Cha River. The northern slopes are steeper with narrow and low cliffs. The mountain body has a thin layer of grass-covered to reveal many areas of ancient red clay in the time of Champa.I
